The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently visiting the Fernie two Group Hall in Mpuluzi to render services to the community.
SASSA is going to be rendering solutions like new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, together with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In an announcement, the agency mentioned it's alarmed with regards to the substantial quantity of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The goal of the Integrated Registration Outreach sassa status Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to your higher range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is often a result of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no entirely functional office dedicated to service the area on a regular basis. The service position created for status sassa intervention encounters a superior influx of likely beneficiaries, that makes it hard for that Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra methods to allow the servicing of all prospects and raise entry to Social Assistance solutions,” the agency said.
